Nancy's Story

Hello, The only thing I know for sure is that I'm alot older and hopefully smarter. It's hard to believe that it has been 34 years since my graduation. Both of my parents have passed away, Dad in 1976 and my Mom and step-father in 2003. My Dad was from Kentucky, so that's where we moved to. I have lived in Kentucky for 32 years. I turned into a farmer...lol, I found out that was way too hard. I no longer live on a farm, I live in a small sub-division in Campbellsville, KY. I found the love of my life in 1988. His name is B.J. and we have been together for 21 years. He's my soul mate; an extention of me. I do not know what I would do without him. We met when we started working for Sumitomo Electric. It's a supplier to the Auto Industry. I traveled to Japan in 1988 to train for an assembly line. We love NASCAR and travel frequently to different tracks every year. We have season tickets to Kentucky Speedway and go to all the races there. I never had any children of my own, but B.J. has a son. If you look at my album, you will see a picture of my "kids". They are the sweetest little darlings you have ever seen. I have been accused of having a northern accent here in KY, but when I returned to Detroit for a visit I was told I sounded like a hillbilly. So just like in high school, I just don't fit in. At this stage in my life I just don't care what others think. I live my life to please me, because when all is said and done, I'm the one who has to look in the mirror at myself. I'm not gorgeous, not skinny; but I'm happy. That's the most important thing. I'm sort of a computer geek, I love working with the computer, different hardware, software and games. I work on a computer for my j...Expand for more
ob and I spend a lot of time on the computer when I'm home. I probably don't do enough housework and other things because of the computer, but so what. It will get done eventually. GOD BLESS AND PEACE TO ALL! UPDATE: Well, now it's August of 2011 and I"m alone. My soulmate B.J. passed away in March of 2010. If it wasn't for my little puppies I don't know what I would do. They have helped me through this terrible time in my life. My family and friends have been so supportive, especially B.J.s brothers. They take care of me, check on me every so often. They keep me involved with all family events, that means so much to me. My brother also checks on me, calls every week or so, just to chat. It seems so strange that he takes care of me, being that he is going to be 69 in November. I still work at the same place, I just celebrated my 23 anniversary with Sumitomo Electric. I have learned so much working with the Japanese and the opportunities that they have given me are tremendous. My last thing to say as of right now, If you love someone, tell them. I'm here to tell you that you never know when that one time will be the last time you get to say "I love you". I got to tell B.J. that I loved him and I'm grateful for the 22 years that we had together. He has made my life so much better for what time we had together. And as always, God Bless each and everyone of you! 2012 UPDATE: Hello! It's July 2, 2012 and I've been on vacation for the last week and don't have to go back until July 9th. Just returned from NASCAR race at KY Speedway this past Saturday. It's been terribly hot this past week, so I've been spending alot of time in the pool trying to stay cool. God Bless You and your family.
