Workplace
I have had exactly the career I desired since junior high: Peace Corps and Foreign Service. As a PC Volunteer in Panama I worked with a craft cooperative, spoke Kuna, and loved my San Blas Island life style - hammock, bamboo house, and Kuna Indians. Then was a PC Volunteer in Yemen where I taught English as a foreign language, spoke Arabic and loved the high mountain Arab culture and cool climate. mirates), Moscow, Tegucigalpa (Honduras) where I adopted my two kids, Sanaa (Yemen - my favorite of all my posts), and Havana. In Washington, I was an evacuation and special operations officer, an Area Management officer responsible for U.S. real property operations in 10 African countries, manager for the Department of housing worldwide, and financial manager.
Best of all I traveled widely and worked and lived in foreign cultures and spoke Kuna, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and learned French and Polish.
