Nancy's Story
Life
Been working long and hard and am finally slowing down. Have been doing high acuity,highvolume,high call Pediatric Intensive Care. I love it but some how I neglected to get a life....LOL. Recently took some time away from medicine and moved to Madison Wisconsin and was working with my brother at his custom countertop business. Did alot of soul searching but in the end medicine won. However, I'm scaling back my practice and doing less critical care. I am moving to North Carolina shortly to join a large Pedia...Expand for more
tric group and work as thier Pediatric Hospitalist. It should be very interesting. The best part is that it is an 8 - 6 job, Monday through Friday without any call or weekend responsibilities. Can you believe it. Recently met someone and he and his 14 year old son are moving there with me. We'll see how that works out. Plan to continue traveling and get back into playing guitar etc. Might even take a ceramics class!! Overall I can't complain but am definitely looking forward to this new chapter in my life.
