Life I became interested in Dog Shows and Afghan Hounds after knowing a person that had an Afghan. I bought my first Afghan from a friend. Wanting to know more about Afghans, I joined a breeders club. I later purchased a female puppy from a breeder in New Jersey. With the help of a kennel in New York, she was able to get her title and become a champion. All my dogs are gone now and the only animal currently living in my house is a cat that adopted me. I dubbed him LeMew. I have always had an interest in geneology. My family is of Scots-Irish(Scottish by way of Ireland) and German descent largely. This was how I found my way into another passion. I joined The Mid Ohio Scottish Heritage Association. I attended a ceilidh and I was hooked on the dancing. I remember doing American Folk dancing in elementary school and how much I enjoyed it. Scottish Country dancing and Irish set dancing were the standards for our early folk dances. So, now I attend dance classes and workshops for Scottish Country dancing, Welsh Country dancing, Contra (revived form of American Folk) and occasionally Irish set dancing.
