Life
Ahhhh...where to start? Well maybe where life took an unexpected turn!
During my senior year at NIU, I did a study abroad program in Mexico City. At the time I was nearly finished with my Bachelors degree in Spanish Language & Literature but needed to polish up my Spanish speaking skills. Little did I know that I would meet my future husband there, get married and spend nearly a decade in Mexico! I loved every minute of it.
During that time I worked with Berlitz language centers. I did everything from teaching English, to training new instructors. I even was given the opportunity to open and lead a new Berlitz branch in Puebla where I worked as the center director for three years. This was such an exciting time in my life. I loved being in sales and running the school!
In 2001, we moved back to IL for a short stay of two years. I dont know...Expand for more
who hated the chilly Chicago weather more, my husband or me! In any case, I was offered a great position in Atlanta, GA (where my brother Jerry and some friends lived) and I jumped on it.
I am working for a language services company called Jonckers, which provides translation and localization services as a regional sales manager. I really enjoy my job and all the people I work with are so great. My husband is an engineer working with a company that specializes in airports.
We have been here now for four years and we love it. I think my parents love it more; now they can visit both of their kids in one trip. In fact, they usually come to visit at least twice a year, which we all really enjoy. We have such a great time playing cards, talking and eating my dads great food!
