Nancy's Story
Life
I met my husband at the hotel I work at 12 years ago. Three years later we were married and 10 months after that I had a baby girl. Catherine is currently 8 years old and in the 3rd grade. She is a Brownie, a soccer player, and takes Karate. Parenting is the absolute best thing I have ever done in my life. We have a dog named Beatrice who we rescued from the pound 3 years ago. She is a Jack Russell Terrier/Healer mix.
We love to travel. This summer we went to Ireland where we saw the most beautiful land. The castles were absolutely amazing. We then spent a week in Amsterdam. The Van Gogh Museum was amazing and the windmills were a great site to...Expand for more

Workplace
12 years ago, I went back to college and began my time at the Renaissance Austin Hotel as a banquet bartender. After a short 7 months, I moved into the position of Administrative Assistant to the Director of Marketing, followed by Business Center Manager. I left the hotel for 5 months, moved to Hilton Head Island South Carolina, but moved back in May of 1998. Later that year, I married my current husband and went back to work as an Express Meetings Manager back at the Renaissance Austin Hotel. I then moved up to Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager and am currently the Director of Group Sales at, you guessed it, the Renaissance Austin Hotel!
