Nancy's Story
I am a Ph.D. Molecular Biophysicist and have been married to fellow scientist Dr. Garth Nicolson for twenty years. In the academic world I am known for developing nucleoprotein gene tracking which is a technique that delineates the gene telecommunications network. Although I spent years as a scientist and teaching medical school, today I am more involved in the business end of science. In 1996 I founded the Institute for Molecular Medicine in Huntington Beach California with my husband. The Institute received a five star rating from leading academicians around the world in our field for our novel programs. This was quite an honor as we have been ranked above Harvard, Oxford, and Cambridge. The Institute is a contractor for the NSA and Homeland Security and is involved in developing counter bio-terrorism programs for the defense of the US . My husband and I have written a book called Project Daylily which describes the complex politics surrounding the issue of Gulf War illnesses. ons. We run six HIV/AIDS clinics in the Sub-Sahara and are expanding our Institute to New York and the Middle East. The Institute is heavily engaged in research for treatment modalities for autistic spectral disorders and neurodegenerative fatiguing illnesses. For our work with all branches of our Armed Forces into Gulf War illnesses, my husband and I were made honorary Colonels in the Special Forces. We are the only honorary Navy SEALS in US history. In my capacity as CEO I have traveled all around the world and been nominated for a Nobel prize. I have one godson, Michael, who is an events planner and director of the Talega Golf and Country Club in San Clemente, California. Highlights of my travels around the world include being presented with an award for humanitarianism from Sovereign Prince Albert of Monaco in Monte Carlo, having a dinner in my honor in the Barry Room of the House of Lords In London, England, having the Giza pyramids to myself as arranged by the Egyptian government when I was a visiting professor in Cairo, and having lunch with The Emperor of Japan after my lecture at the Sapporo Cancer Symposium.
