Nancy's Story
Life
After high school, I attended CCRI for 1 year. Took a job at an advertizing agency in Providence. Loved the city life but job was transferred to New York- too much city for me so I left and went to the RI Institute of Tech which is now known as Johnson & Wales. I received a certificate in Dental Assisting and Oral x-ray Tech. I have worked in numerous dental offices in RI. Met my hubby during Hurricane Gloria (1985) when we were both members of the Police Reserves in Warwick (Reserves have since disbanded). We married in 1988 and are still going strong. He is a Firefighter/EMT in N. Kingstown. I also received my EMT state license and did volunteer rescue work in Coventry at a volunteer...Expand for more
fire station. Great work- I love to help others. Unfortunately no longer there because there are not enough hours in the day (or night) for me to do all that I do. Currently not working- "between jobs" as they say. Son is a Sophmore at Pilgrim ( and YES I do cheer for Pilgrim now) and daughter is in 7th grade at Aldrich. Pets..... 1 dog, 4 cats, 1 goldfish, 1 beta fish and numerous dead creatures that the cats drag home. Enjoying life !!!
School
Was sort of quiet in high school til my senior year... wrestling cheerleader, chorus.. BOYS !! Dated mostly guys from Hendricken or Tollgate- not sure how that happened but was not asked out by the Hurricane Guys I lusted after... HAHAHA :)
