Life
i hope they dont expect me to put this all in this little box. if mrs defuria is looking i'm cheating and looking at the keys. about three hours after grad. i joined the air force with chris fry, rich mizner and ron mills....i spent the first year in training then off to viet nam......miserable weather lousy food smelly water and people trying to kill you.....not nice.....got out in 69 and went to work for eastern airlines....had a blast....used to go skiing in austria and switzerland.....traveled all over tne carribean mexico and everywhere in between.....moved to palm beach fla. in 74 and loved it.......i dont think i missed muckh there either.....i took up skydiving an early 76.....learned how to scuba dive and did a lot of fishing....broke my leg in 17 places aug 4 76.....i can tell when it's raining in s.dakota.......moved to minnesota in 77...still with eastern.........bought my first horse then...an old throughbred named sam......i bought my home in eagan minn.....they raised the cost of boarding my horse so i bought an 80 acre farm in ellsworth wisconsin.......we killed eastern by going on strike in 89...i was out on workman's comp with a fractured back....the insuarance co. sent me to school....i didnt know what to do so i went to school for law enforcement......it was a 10 month school and i zipped thru it in two and a half years............Expand for more
i was hired by the dept. of defence apr. of 91.......oct. oct of 95 i bought the farm i have now....it's 60 acres....it was 100 but i sold 40 to finance some upgrades.........i have 4 horse of my own and i board 11 more.......i have two gogs four cats on pony and one burro bob.......i have a 22 year old daughter and a three year old grandaughter....i raised my daughter Natalie from the time she was 13 as a single parent....she moved out for about a year.........when my grandaughter was born she lived on her own for about a year....she missed me too much.....well she missed her horse....so she and Isabelle moved in and i would'nt have it any other way actually....my grandaughter was 9 mts. old when i bought her pony chester....i'm retired from dept. of defence.. and we have our horse boarding hobby.......we do a lot of camping with horses in wyoming north and soth dakota.minn wisconsi iowa...it's a good pastime and it's something we do as a family.......plsu we can make a little money out of it....my daughter trains horses for people and she starting to get quiet a client list.......the only drawback to living here is there are only two seasons July and winter...you get past that and you've got it made......we go home to philly every year for at least a week.....gotta get my cheese steaks and scrapple..........it's hard to believe it's been 40 years.....
