about 45 miles from Machias. Across the river from where she lives is Canada. We have a 5 1/2 year old grandson named Alex. He brings so much joy to me. He was born one year after my father died. Both my parents are buried at the Arlington National Cemetery. I miss them very much. I plan on retiring from Corrections on income tax day in 2017 which is my birthday. I want to visit my father in Sept of 2017. It would have been his 100th birthday. My last regular visit to Northern Virginia was when my mother was buried in 2013. After 39 years of going back and forth to Virginia and it's all over. At least I have my grandson. He calls me- Pop Pop. I am a Freemason. I joined my Masonic lodge- Harwood Lodge 91 in 1996. I held several chairs and became master of my lodge in 2006. It was a fun year but very busy between home and work. I was a member of Henry Lodge 57 in Fairfax, Virginia and also a member of Warren Lodge 2 in East Machias, Me. The original charter of the lodge was signed by Paul Revere in 1778.
