Neil's Story
Life
Greetings from sunny Coral Springs Florida. I have been living here since May of 1988. My wife of 23 years Pamela and my 15 year old son Matthew, and our 6 year old Lhasa Apsos Chipper complete my family. i spent 7 years promoting and selling at sports memorabilia shows in Simon and Westfield properties in the state of Florida. I have been involved in the sports memorabilia and the trading card business since September of 1989 under the moniker of Neil Zee. After graduating from Boston University's School of Management with a double major in marketing and sociology in 1978, I spent my NY/NJ days as a wall street stockbroker. I moved from Manalapan NJ and transferred with Drexel Burnham in New York City in May of 1988 to Boca Raton. I changed careers in September of 1989 by purchasing a baseball card store. I have been an avid collector since 1959 when grandpa Louie from Brooklyn would visit and take me to see his childhood friend Charley's candy store on Merrick Avenue and the intersection of Old Mill Road. Charley would always sneak baseball card boxes into Louie's car. I guess I never grew out of it and it has become an interesting and exicitng profession. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to meet some of my all time sports heroes as a result. I have also been fortunate enough to have been able to have been in touch and seen classmates over the years when I have come to Merrick (2-4 times a year) on the vacations that don't involve cruising and numerous destinations around Florida. They have also visited Florida where I try to remain available on a moment's notice! look forward to reconnecting and seeing everybody at the reunion!!

College
I remember vividly when my mother and one of my cousins went to visit boston university in May of 1974. School had already let out for the summer and the peacefulness and surronding tranquility of Boston was a tremendous draw and inspiration. Little did I know that it was the nation's largest private institution in the country at that time. The student enrollment was larger then the population of Merrick!. I never knew there were so many towns in Long Island until i got to Boston University. It turned out that my first college roomate was someone i had gone to sleep away camp with 6 years earlier. And to think 3 days before i was to begin my freshman year they didn't even have any living space for us. Welcome to the real world. It turned out that they bought a beautiful apratment building on the Charles River and they were the largest rooms and the coolest dorm on campus!! We lived there 2 years and then took advantage of apartment living for the last 2 years in boston. It was the crazy disco times and Boston sure had it's share of nightclubs. College was always an academic struggle but the times were the greatest times ever! There is only one 4 year part of your life you can never duplicate! My fondest memories of school was walking past Fenway Park on the way to school and somehow realizing that the baseball game was more important. I would have done better if i lived on the otherside of Fenway closer to school!
