Nikki's Story
Life
I am now living outside LA, California. About three years ago my dad was transfered out here for work. LA is awesome. I have met great people and I love everything about LA. I even got to go to my first movie premiere a few months back. I spent my first semester of college at the University of California in Santa Cruz, near San Fransisco. That was great but I decided I enjoyed LA more and moved back.
NEW:
A few months ago I moved into my own apartment in Santa Barbara, California. I am finishing my last few years of school at the Brooks Institute of Photography, where I will get my bachelors in Commerical Photography. If anyone is interested in photography as a career then I seriously suggest Brooks. It is the best Photography school in the World.
I have met amazing people from all over the world. I definitely can't complain about life, I live literally 2 minutes (walking) from the beach, the beautiful Pacific Ocean and I love it. School is extremely hard but oh so much fun. It is amazing learning from the best professional photographers in the world and it was incredible meeting some of the photographers from National Geographic, Vogue a...Expand for more
nd more. Which has been a dream of mine.
Life is definitely better than I could have ever imagined.
School
CORRECTION: I graduated from BCE in 1995. I was guessing when I filled in the question.
College
Right out of highschool I attended the University of California: Santa Cruz for a while...which is just south of San Fransisco. Watch out for dorm food...yuck I got food poisoning twice. I basically stuck to Lucky Charms and Cheerios after that. After a while I didnt care for the area or school and moved home for a while and attended Ventura College. While I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do, I went to VC to get all of my general education requirements done. In July of 2004, I moved to Santa Barbara, California to attend Brooks Institute of Photography. So far Brooks has been the most exciting experience I have ever had. Walking it takes me about 2 minutes to get to the beach from my apartment. Santa Barbara is an amazing place and Brooks is even better. It is really cool being taught by some of the best photographers in the industry. Photography is so much harder than I ever imagined but if anything it is sssssooooo much fun.
