Norm's Story
Left High School to attend Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. Earned a BA in Education and taught one year back in my home town of Owyhee. Decided that I needed a greater challenge and wanted to do something different so I applied to University of Cal-Berkley in California. Surprisingly got accepted and completed my degree in earning a Master's in Public Health. Joined the United States Public Health Service and served for 26 years. Retired from my last duty station in Phoenix, Az. Returned home to Spring Creek, Nevada and after a couple of months got bored so began searching for employment. n Indain Archives prgram working part-time for a year. Applied for the Director of Fitness Program at GBC and was hired full-time so I have been working in that position since July 2006 and it is a dream job. The opportunity to work-out each day and working with young college students.
Been very fortunate as for my family, great spouse and four outstanding children. They all have set goals and are working on personal challenges in terms of family life, career and higher education.
Recently, I bagan competing in the Senior Olympics and over the last two days I was fortunate to win 6 gold medal for first place and two Silver Medals for second place.
