Norman S.'s Story
Life
Out of Groveton attended the University of Cincinnati majoring in English. Later attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music majoring in trumpet performance and have resided in San Francisco since 1969. Subsequently played with the Marin Symphony, Berkeley Symphony, Modesto Symphony, and Oakland Opera orchestras (cumulatively snarkily referred to as the "Freeway Philharmonic...") in addition to freelance playing and mostly private trumpet teaching.
Did independent medical transcription work from 1991 to 2017 to provide for procurement of actual foodstuffs. Finally got married in May 2005 for the first time even though not yet 60 years of age. Accused by some of rushing into things once again.

book owing to their now-improved photo-handling, with a couple pics of the cars also here on Classmates. Note that website normandotweinfelddotcom is now defunct, as is my medical transcription business website (hooray!).
UPDATE July 2018: The above-mentioned cats, Howard and Blanche, have sadly now passed away after 17 and 18-1/2 years respectively, but they leave behind wonderful memories and zillions of photos. My wife and I have now retired and are splitting time between our longtime San Francisco home and newish (to us - built 1911) Paris apartment in the 17th Arrondissement, on which we have a three-year lease (renewed for another three years in July 2020 and now again in July 2023). It's all a pretty grand experiment but suffering we are not. The three-month-here/three-month-there lifestyle does present its challenges, but First-World challenges they most definitely are.
