Olivia's Story
Life
After high school, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Kentucky (Lexington). In 1984, I earned a Master of Religious Education degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY).
After graduation from college, I was employed as a research specialist for the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights in Louisville. Following a hiatus from the workplace to complete my seminary training, I began serving as Executive Director of Capitol Area Ministries in Atlanta, GA, an ecumenical social services ministry serving children and adults in the Capitol Homes/Martin Luther King, Jr. Village area.
In 1987, I moved to Nashville and began working at the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention (now LifeWay Christian Resources) as a Coordinator in Black Church Development. Also during that time I married and divorced.

Editor at the R. H. Boyd Publishing Corporation in Nashville. I now serve as Director of Publishing for the Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., where I am responsible for the production of all Christian education literature produced by the agency, which serves the largest African-American Baptist body.
Also, I am owner of Guardian Angel Communications Services, providing editorial and design services to Christian publishers and organizations, authors, and businesses nationwide.
I serve as an associate minister at Berean Baptist Church in Nashville, where I was licensed and ordained as a minister of the Gospel.
I serve as Tennesse state chaplain of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
During these years, I also have been blessed to author seven books and am working on a eighth. I continue to make my home in Nashville, TN.
