Pam's Story
Life
Well! I guess that since I had graduated in 1985, I started to slack off, and I started to gain weight like crazy. I'm not proud of doing this, but I did it. I'd like to try and get it off before my next reunion, but it hasn't been all that easy. I have changed a whole lot! I'm not as outgoing as I use to be, but I still have a lot of friends around here. I don't like huge crowds like I use to either. I still love to be around people, but I don't like to be with all of them at once. I'm going to college right now, and I'm trying to get my degree in Journalism, but it's not all that easy for me. Now, it's been another 10 years since I've seen everybody, and I haven't really changed when it comes to weight or being around huge crowds, but I do have a boyfriend that went to school and graduated the same year that we did, and we're hoping to share a few things at the reunion this year.
School
My biggest crush? Mmmmm! Well, I really wasn't into having crushes really, but if I really wanted to have one, I'd say; Terry Norberg because he really never had much to do with me during that time, and it just drove me crazy to see him turn around and walk away from me angry. I hated it a lot when Terry...Expand for more
was mad at me. The teacher that actually inspired the most is I have to say Mr. Kinerk, but I really have two more in that case. They are, Mr. Mondau and Mrs. Berg. Mr. Mondau had taught me a lot of things with the same way that Mr. Kinerk did. He taught me how to respect myself and others. Mrs. Berg, the late Mrs. Berg got me into liking math a lot, and I really love to work with numbers more than ever now. Yes! I would do it all over again if I had to.
Workplace
After I had finished high school I was able to get my first job ever over at the Rochester bus garage back in 1986. I was a bus aide for the handicap. I had worked there for 2 full years, and then, I needed to find something else to do in my spare time, so I did some volunteer work at the library in Centralia. Then, I went and got a job at Centralia McDonalds and worked there for 4 years. I started there in 1991, and I quit in 1995. I still had my volunteer job during that time, so I pretty much kept myself very busy until I got ready to move to Colorado. I had four jobs during the time that I was there. I worked at Taco Bell from 5/97 to 9/99. Then, I worked at the Developmental Opportunites for special people from 9/99 to 4/00.
