Pam's Story

I always wanted to be a mom when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong! Only kidding. My kids are awesome, but can be really annoying. Fortunately they are both incredible smart, quick witted, and very well mannered. I am truly blessed. The biggest surprise for me, looking back, was that I didn't have kids until I was in my mid 30s! In HS all I wanted was to grow up and be a mom. Another surprising things about me is that I'm a deer hunter. Never would have bet on that in the 80s either. My hubby's a Wildlife Biologist and got me hunting after we married in 96. Spent 11 years in Missouri, lots of deer there and to date have put nearly 20 deer in the freezer! Have a couple of nice racks on the wall, too. My first buck was an 8 pointer and in 2004 I shot a 10 pointer. I blow off steam and relax by reading or watching TV. The wildest thing I ever did in HS was skip lunch to go to Friendly's with Judi. I know big freakin' deal! I was much more exciting after I hit 30... a late bloomer, I guess. Lived in NH / MA until 1994, then met the man of my dreams and went with him to MO for 11 years. Now we have two children and moved back east, to NY, in 2005, to be closer to our families in NH. Don't really have any obsessions... My favorite sport is football, but I only watch in January, love the Super Bowl! We have 30 animals... cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and chickens. I love to read and write, bu...Expand for more
t spend most of my waking hours doing things for my kids and Ducks Unlimited. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the downstairs garage into two more rooms and build a detached garage. My dream home would be a log cabin. If I won $100 million, I'd give 1 million of it to Ducks Unlimited, then spend the rest on college, land, my family and vacations. My current age is 44. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be near death. I was so completely wrong. My first crush was Michael Marston, a neighbor on Anns Lane. I saw him during HS, he was visiting from Florida. Don't know how he found me. It was nice to reconnect. My best friend would tell you I'm an idiot, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as sensible and very organized. Style?! I have no style. I've been a stay at home mom for seven years, I wear jeans and t-shirts. I share my home with children, which I find extremely annoying! My only trophies are two bucks and my first deer ever, which was a doe. One do-over? That would be my weight. I wouldn't let myself go over 140lbs. In 10 years, I hope to be skinny and published. I'm going to get there by eating chocolate and complaining. I was surprised that we didn't have a 25th reunion! Anybody know what happened there? I shoulda planned it myself. My first job was at a hotel on Hampton Beach, where I got paid very, very little to chambermaid. What I remember most about it is people are slobs.
