Pamela's Story
I currently live in Macon, but that can change in a heartbeat. After retiring from teaching in Vidalia, I decided to move to Macon to be near my daughter and her family. I really wanted to get away from all the drama that seemed to surround my life. Ask me about it and l will be glad to explain. After a brief time of trying to teach in Bibb County Schools, I went to work at various jobs- sales associate, floor setter, receptionist, care giver. My most rewarding job was being an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America) with Central GA Technical College - Adult Ed Program. My worksites were the Macon Department of Labor, GOODWILL Campus and various CGTC-AEP sites where I met alot of interesting people. I still work at CGTC-ALC on the Orientation and Assessment Team. ngleside Baptist Church and attend the WOW Bible Study Class. I spend as much time as I can with my 5 grandchildren. Isn't LIFE great!
I enjoy being with friends, cooking, going to the movies, going to historical sites in GA, spending time at the beach or the mountains, going to flea markets, antique stores and yard sales, watching/ listening to the GA Bulldogs and other GA teams.
I am planning on taking up welding in the near future. I wish I had taken it up after high school. I can't wait to let my creative side emerge. It should be interesting. I think I will start by making bottle trees. I have already started collecting wine bottles. So if you would like to contribute to my wine bottle tree, come to Macon to see me and bring a bottle of your favorite wine. We will toast my new career!
