Hi classmates. I will not be at the reunion but I will be in Ireland. I'll toast you from there!
Many years have passed since high school and I have been very productive. Immediately out of college, I taught first grade in Salt Lake City, Utan. I had the first of my five daughters in SLC andI learned to love to snow ski!
From there I moved on to LIncoln, Nebraska, started a small jewelry store that I ran for 7 years and had another daughter. The first big surprise of my life came when, as a single woman, I landed a job that moved me home to California. Settling in Upland, I worked as a Regional Director for a few years at Jafra Cosmetics. I also met the young girl who I eventually adopted, daughter number three. I accepted a position at my Alma Mater, University of LaVerne first as Alumni Director then director of annual giving. Those years I also enjoyed teaching night school at Mt SanAntonio College in Walnut.
I met and married Don Redman who fathered Big surprises two and three, two more daughters! So as my family loves to report I had a baby in the 60's(barely making that decade-November '69), the 70's,the 80's and the 90's!

variety of jobs. I think change-ups keep you current. And having a span of 19 years between babies kept me current as well. Our youngest daughter moved out almost a year ago and I realized it was the first time since November, '69 that I didn't have a child living in my home. Finally, I have no fall paperwork to fill out or back to school nights to attend. It's been a very interesting, wonderful life.
Lucky for me I have all five daughters living within 6 miles of our home. Our youngest two are single and the other three have three children each. Family is very important to us and we weave in and out of each other lives constantly. When we get together for family dinners its a table for 19. Fun Fun Fun!!!
I wish I could see you guys. I'm sending happy warm thoughts your way and if you are ever near Manhattan Beach(think LAX) I'm in the book---give me a a call and we'll sit on the deck with a cool drink and remember good ole Montclair High!

And, back at MHS I thought I didn't learn a thing in either Barlett's class or Modean's Spanish class----as it turned out I did learn quite a lot in spanish but not a thing in physics!
Also I've had lots of fun remembering so many of you, Bill, Priscilla, Hope, Jimmie, Mike, Donna, Ginny, Yvonne, Val, Sue, Ilene, Linda, Cathy, Bob, and on and onâ¦â¦our happy days.
