Pamela's Story
Life
After high school graduation I moved to Oklahoma for 2 years to attend Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College. I graduated in May of 1990 with an A.A. degree in Elementary Education. I then attended College of the Ozarks for 3 years graduating in May of 1993 with a B.S. degree in Sociology/Social Work and a minor in Psychology. I moved back to Kirksville 13 years ago after finding out my father had cancer and I stayed to be near my mom and grandma.
Two years ago I decided to return to school through and online program and continue my education. I recently completed my Master's in Speical Education and am now in the process of gaining my Missouri Certification.
Sadly on May 3, 2007 my brother, Jeff, passed away suddenly at the age of 33. He had been struggling with many things for the past several years. Losing Dad was harder on him than anyone realized. He will be missed a lot by many people but expecially his fa...Expand for more

I enjoy reading, crafts, working with children, and spending time with friends. I would love to hear from anyone from high school or college. Hope to hear from some of you soon.

School
High School - Not my favorite time in life. I actually hated school. My favoirte subject in high school was history. I hated math because I didn't understand it at all. It wasn't easy having a math teacher for a father. He tried every idea possible to help me understand math. He finally gave up! I still hate math to this day and I don't think that will ever change.
Workplace
I am Para-Professional at Schuyler Co. R-1 Schools where I work with children with learning disabilities. I love my job very much. Sixth graders can be a challenge but it is wonderful when they finally figure out something and say "Oh, I get it now!" It is hard to believe that I will be starting my 5th year at Schuyler Co. R-1 Schools this fall.
