Pamela's Story
Life
I moved to Florida in my last year of high school in 1976. Several years later I met my husband Brian. We were married Oct 7 1989 at the Anna Maria Fire Station. Both my husband and I were volunteers at the time. My first daughter Elizabeth was born Dec 5th 1990, my second daughter Donna Jean was born Feb 8th 1997. Both girls look just like their father. I am working at a retirement center in the laundry department. (I guess someone has to do it)he he. My husband Brian was killed April 10th 2001 while on duty at the fire department. He was doing routine maintenance on one of the lights in the bay (where the fire trucks are kept) when he was electrocuted. With the help of friends and family my girls and I are managing. My sister Jane got remarried in March of 2002. Please write to me and let me know how you are all doing. ot of people. I spoke at a class that was put on by The Fallen Firefighters Foundation called Taking Care of Our Own. It has to do with preparing for and in the line of duty death. (as if you could really prepare) But I got up in front of about 30 people and told my story. It went well. But I was shaking the whole time and of course I couldn't stop the water works. Hopefully I was able to help in some way. I also write to other families of fallen firefighters letting them know that they are not alone and that there is help if and when they need it. It's hard to believe that my oldest daughter has finished college for now I'm hoping she'll be going back after the baby. Oh did I tell you I'm going to be a grandma. Baby is due Dec 18th 2012. I am now the proud grandmother of a beautiful baby boy. My daughter Liz gave birth to Brian Eugene (named after my husband) Dec 9 2012 at 1:44 a.m. He weighed 7lbs 1 oz and was 20 inches long. He's now two months old and both are doing very well. I've watched him a couple of times now. I love him to death.:)My second grandchild was born Feb 2,2019 his name is Blake
