Park's Story
Hi Classmates! Currently, I live in Scottsdale Arizona with my wife Suzanne and two children. Both children graduated from college. Sierra attended Northern Arizona University and Cortlan graduated from California State University in Northern California.. Suzanne was born in Michigan and grew up mostly in Anchorage, Alaska as a military brat.
Suzanne is the Director of Operations at Scottsdale Basis High School and I recently retired as the regional GM of a pharmaceutical company. Suzanne is passionate about music, playing the piano and singing which has been passed down to both children. She belongs to several music groups that perform at church and on an independent basis.
I got my start in healthcare as a Navy combat medic attached with the 2nd and 5th Marine Division out of high school. I married Debbie Sneed (classmate) and we have a lovely daughter named Mandy. We moved back to Bedford from Carlsbad, California in 1969 where I worked briefly as a respiratory technician at Bedford Memorial Hospital. It didn't take long leaving the military that I new it was time to get a college education. I started at Allegheny Community College and the University of Pittsburgh Health Center graduating with a degree in Respiratory Care. I completed my internship, written and oral exams to become a registered respiratory therapist in San Francisco a year later.

d me to be the assistant executive director of the Cardiopulmonary Medicine department at Paul Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, New Jersey. While in New Jersey, I attended Richard Stockton State College receiving a B.S. in Healthcare Administration. Four years later, I assumed the executive director's position when my boss changed position.
I decided to move to Arizona after attending a medical convention during the winter. No more cold weather and snow. Over the past 33 years, I continued working in the healthcare field. During this time, I served as the Administrator, Office of the Medical Director for the Arizona Medicaid Program and Executive Director of the RECAP project for McKesson/PCS. The RECAP project was the first national point-of-service prescription drug program (PBM) that linked 65,000 pharmacies in the U.S, Puerto Rico and Guam to one computer system in Scottsdale. I attended the University of St. Francis (Joliet, Illinois) at St Joseph Hospital and Medical Center Campus in Phoenix to continue my education, completing my Master of Science degree in Healthcare/Hospital Administration.
My favorite hobbies and past time are going on vacations with the family, golfing, skiing, hiking, biking and learning more about the latest archeological discoveries going on around the world...very fascinating stuff. Looks like some things learned in school may need revised.
