Pat's Story
I can't believe the years have gone by and we're 60!! I went to WIU after graduating, where Barb Oesterreich King was my roomate. We are both sworn to secrecy about our adventures, so don't ask! Immediately following my 4 years there I married Mike Manion from Newman and we moved around the country quite a bit while he was a naval officer (Newport, RI; Atlanta, GA; New London, CT), finally landing back in Chicago. lie) were born while we lived in Wilmette and Northbrook, where I've lived for 30 years. I was an ESL teacher for 10 years, went back for two Master's Degrees, and became a school principal, retiring last July. You can tell from my photos that a family wedding and the birth of my first granchild filled 2009. The future? I can't believe it, but I'm going back for more classes (online) so I can instruct at the graduate level via distance or eLearning (my retirement career).
