Patrice's Story

Life I clearly remember Miss Wadlezdewski (sp?) in grade 1, Miss Alice McAloon in 2nd, Miss Beatrice Donovan in 3rd, Miss McKinney (?) in 4th, and Mrs. Sagar in 5th. Then there was Mr. Leonard Affleck who was principal and Mr. Gibbs, the custodian. Mr. Berube (?) came once a week to teach string instruments. In my class was Isabel Bassinet, Susie Selheimer, Stanley Kozinski, Allen LaBranche (my first crush), and Nancy Kaplan (my best friend). I remember being the one who got to play the Pinky Lee xylophone and run the 16mm Bell & Howell projector. The Reinhardt Penmanship folks would come from Massachusetts once ...Expand for more
a year and inspect our handwriting. Recently, I learned that Flora S. Curtis had been a drama coach in the Pawtucket School District when my mom was in high school at Tolman. I got to shelve books for Mrs. Cunningham, the very elderly librarian. BARRINGTON HIGH SCHOOL '70 Living in the Pacific Northwest for 14 years now - teaching middle school, consulting in literacy. Prior to that, I lived in San Francisco Bay Area for 15 years teaching and going to grad school. Recently divorced and regrouping at midlife. Good health, good life, good God, good times! Hoping all are well. Looking forward to a 40th reunion.
