Patricia's Story
M husband and I bought our dream house in Lakewood. I'm still working for the city of Lakewood and have two secondary teaching jobs. I teach for Northwestern University for the Center of Public Safety, both online as well as on-ground. My class is only three days long, out of a 10 week program for senior police managers. It's by far the toughest class. I do like a challenge. The second teaching job is for NHTSA, as a contract instructor for a program called DDACTS. It's a policing strategy. I got married in 2004 to my best friend whom I met at church. We still attend Cherry Hills Community Church, despite the longer drive. We love to travel!
I hope to retire when I'm 57. It's a lofty goal, but I'm working on it. In retirement, I will still teach and play a lot of golf. We are hoping to purchase a second home in Florida. Yes, I want to be a snowbird. I can't stand the summer humidity, but am tired of the Colorado snow.
