Life
OKAY - SO THIS IS MY STORY
AND I'M STICKING TO IT!!!
Married since Aug 24, 1969 to Randy Flory, a 1968 Lakeside graduate. We have a 25 year old daughter who is in Lake Worth, Fl. working with Florida Stage for their'09'10 Theatre Season. We are very proud of her accomplishments in Theatre and wish her much luck in her endeavors. Our 17 year old is a Senior in high school year. He has become quite the local "downtown attraction" with his juggling (balls, clubs, rings, knives, baseball bats and hatchets) plus he rides a unicycle around town. Our 33 year old son lives in Euharlee,Ga. with his wife and daughter, plus his two stepsons. We also have another granddaughter who lives with her grandmother in Rome. We enjoy a nice quiet and very scenic life in Fort Payne, Ala. Randy finally retired in 2006 after working 32 years with Kroger Co. Since 1996, he had been driving from Alabama back into Georgia to work at the west Rome store which they closed Feb 2006. He now works 3 days a week for The Childrens Place - 3 miles from home!/ and enjoys that additional monthly retirement check. After graduation and marriage, I worked with Kroger for another two years before I left that job. I worked for 14 y...Expand for more
ears in Insurance Industry, 6 years in the Newspaper business and then 7 years in management with AutoZone. After not working for six years (the first three years taking full-time care of my Mother before she passed in Dec. '03). In 2006, for 6 months I worked at the Box Office Grill at Strand Antiques in downtown Fort Payne as their cook. They are open open six days a week, plus Friday nites for steak nite, so I usually put in about 55-60 hours a week. I loved working there, meeting new people (tourists) almost daily, plus our usual crowd, the locals, that includes Randy Owen (from the group ALABAMA) and his wife, who would come in to eat lunch with us 3 or 4 times a week. Unfortunately, major hand surgery and a long recovery period took me away from the job. I enjoy reading, watching classic movies and chatting with old friends via internet or phone. Would love to hear from others from Class of 69.....

Well, the 40 year class of 69 reunion was a big success, with close to 150 in attandance. It was really wonderful seeing people who I haven't seen in 40 years. Looking forward now to working on a multi-class get together in 2012 which will include THS classes 67 thru 71.
