Patrick's Story
I got in a motorcycle accident racing through Gothe Park snapping my right Femur like a twig.
Now it is called "American River Parkway". Thank whatever god you might believe in for the name change because CM Gothe was the worst kind of racist. I spent the last two weeks of High School, my 18th Birthday and four months in traction at Kaiser Hospital.
With out daily, regular visits from friends I would have gone nuts in there. After I healed I went hitch hiking every where in California I could think of. Hitch Hiked to Santa Barbara and joined a Commune called Sun Burst in the Santa Barbara Mountains. It was cool. Spent lots of time in the Sierras Camping with others or alone most of the time. Taught myself how to survive in the wilderness. Went to City College for a while. Went to Business College. Got married and had four great boys. Divorced after ten years, but kept at least two with me at all...Expand for more
times (we traded off every now and then). Spent my life in Blue Collar work. Offset Press Operator, Auto Mechanic, Computer Tech. Non Emergency Medical Transportation Driver, Buss Driver in LA, Small and Large Appliance Repairman Owner/Operator. Credit Consolidator, Limo Driver. Machinist/Industrial Plant Maintenance. Electronics Tech. Retail Store Manager and probably a few I've forgotten about or blocked. I have done quite a few things in my life. Been in every state in the Union except Hawaii and Maine. Cruised from Acapulco to Alaska. Spent time in The U.K. Now that I'm Retired I spend most of my time driving up in the hills or going to The City, making things out of glass or casting Silver or Bronze or making Custom Knives or camping or target shooting with my boys. Never went in the Military or wanted to take up Golfing.
That pretty much sums it up for me if you have any questions, just ask.
