What a long strange trip it's been! Since leaving Mayfair at the end of my sophomore year, a LOT has transpired. I married Bill James in November 1969, had my daughter Kelly in June 1970. Bill and I were together for 5 years, then we divorced. I went to work for Lucky Stores in their main office in Buena Park, and met my next husband, Nick, there. We bought our first house in Ontario, in 1976 while we were still working in Buena Park. The house was brand new and cost $40,499.00. I can only imagine what that same house goes for today! We sold it a few years later to move closer to work, and moved to Fullerton. We were thinking of moving out of state, to Washington, and made the big move in 1983. Nick transferred to Schuck's Auto Parts in Spokane, and I transferred to Pic-a-Dilly Apparel, both divisions of Lucky's. It was hard living away from family and friends, and making a quarter of what our former California incomes were.
