Life After leaving Cleveland HS in 85, I ended up in Vocational Village (VV) in 1989 at age 19. I stayed in VV until the summer of 1990, at which time, I went to work at the ship repair yard. I was close to getting my HS diploma from VV,but I did not return, so I opted for my GED. I worked in the ship repair yard as a laborer supervisor from 1990 til 1997 at which time I took the responsibility as a Union Shop Steward. From 2000 until 2004, I was in a labor relations position and worked at the direction of our Contract Administrator as a labor liason for a Labor Management Committee. During this time, I took a few college writing courses, and I still attend college on a part time basis slowly working toward a degree. 2005 til current, I am a Compliance Investigator for Public Works construction projects.
