professor at the University of Dayton where I teach courses in Sociology and Criminal Justice. After getting my MS I worked for a few years at the Elkhart City Probabtion Department but it didn't take long for me to decide that I didn't want that to be my career. I went back to school and earned my Ph.D. in Sociology (with a concentration in Criminology and Corrections) from BGSU. I spent the next six years teaching criminology at Morehead State University and even though I had tenure, decided to relocate to a more urban setting. I have taught at UD since 2002 and lived outside of Columbus
