Paul's Story
First of all, I would love to hear from anyone in my past, especially any stories they may recall from those days.
My Life
I have travelled a bit, been educated at various colleges, earned a degree from the school of life, made mone and lost some, but for me,I am never far from 1956 and Miss Burns warning me not to cross Grafton Street, playing leaners beneath the iron stairs at the school, and bringing a cooked red chestnut to school on a shoelace, Miss Walker smiling at me and making my heart skip a beat. It is still 1956, isn't it. I can remember it as if it were yesterday. I still have my 1956 CCM bicycle, a pic of my 1956 class on my wall, all my baseball and hockey cards. And you know what, I still have my comic collection. One time I crossed Grafton went across the library, got hit by a car. It was the owner of the capitol theatre. He rushed me to the hospital, gave me his business card and I had a free pass for life into the theatre. Unfortunately he died the following year. I still have my secret chestnut tree, and everytime I go to Halifax, I visit it. I used to live at 1479 Birmingham St.

mber TC well, all the French students, the teachers, all good memories. Winter carnival, the dances in the gym, and very pretty girls.I remember several practical jokes. Every frosty night I would walk to the pool in the engineering building and take a swim. It was small but the water was warm in the winter. This was before the new one was built. I would love to go back to that time again.
Here are some things I have done with my life.
teacher & school principal
taught in NB and QC.
played in R&R band throughout 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, to present.
prospector for a few years
fishing guide all my life
always had a camp. travelled to and from school by boat each day
taught ballroom dancing in the evenings throughout the 90's to present
wrote a few books and published
won a medal for saving a woman from drowning
still collect BB cards.
I worked every summer taking on various jobs all through my teaching career, sometimes as a truck driver, sometimes as a carpenter.
presently I am doing tree-cutting, a sometimes dangerous job.
I still think fondly of my days in Halifax and Fredericton.
