Paul's Story
Life
Maried Leslie Somer in 1974. In 1975, I graduated from BGSU and was comissioned a 2Lt in the USAF. I attended Navigator School and Navigator-Bombadier Training at Mather AFB. I then trained at Castle AFB as a B-52 Navigator. After qualifying in the B-52, I was assigned to the 23BMS/5BMW at Minot AFB, ND and then the 668BMS/416BMW at Griffiss AFB, NY. In 1981 divorced from Leslie. Married Ursula (Newark DE) in 1982. We have three children: a stepson James (1979)and a daughter Sarah (1983) and a son Kurt (1985).My final assignment was with the 384BMW as a staff office...Expand for more
r. I retired in '95 as a Major with 20 years of service and over 3500 hours flying B-52G/H and B-1B. In 1995 retired from the air force and moved to NC. Worked for 8 1/2 years at UNC hospitals. All three children graduated from Bunn HS (1997, 2001, and 2003). James graduated from Appalachian State in 2008. Sarah Graduated from NCSU in 2005 and was married in 2007. Kurt is attending community college. In 2004 I was hired by NC DMV. I am presently on my third job as a Training Development Officer (I teach, do special programs, test software updates and assist the help desk).
