Paul's Story
Workplace
In 1991, while I was working in Toronto, I began learning to play the drums; with a dance background and a musical family, it wasn't too difficult. I moved back to Sudbury, and with a group of guys from highschool, we rented a house for two years in the Donovan where we set-up a studio in the basement, practicing and writing music. One of those two summers, we helped build the retirement home for my band mates' parents on Manitoulin Island. At the end of that Summer, we moved back to Toronto and met a great guy who provided many pieces of the music puzzle, including a 72seat propane bus in exchange for helping him with the construction of his house(what was with building houses?) Anyhow, at the end of that summer project, we converted the bus into...Expand for more
a motor home and decided to "Go West." We drove to Vancouverand rented a house there for 6 months...exploring the awesome geography of the Western Provinces and making great new friends.
Within 7even months, we came back to ontario to record our c.d. titled The Mississaugi Lighthouse. We played several more shows before my band career ended. I moved to St. Catharines(97 - 99)and did some drum work on a friend's album titled, "As Each Leaf Falls." I moved back Toronto where I worked as a Professional Insurance Advisor for the Canadian Denatal Association for 5 years. For the fun of it in 2001, with 2 musician friends, we released a c.d. titled "Coming Together."
Now I'm working with Manulife Financial as one of their Agents for Travel Insurance.
