Paula's Story
Graduated H. S. end of summer school 1958 at the age of sixteen, earned a BSed in art in 1962, started teaching, and married at age 20. Moved to California, Colorado, and back to Ohio. Spent a year traveling around Europe and returned to California. Had my son at age 27, divorced, attended Kent S. U., 71-72, and received my MLS. Returned to California working as a librarian at all levels, pre-school - 4-year universities. Married and divorced twice more. Sailed around the Pacific as 1st mate on a 38 ft. sailboat and settled in Hawaii in 1991 where I built a home and have remained to this day. I have visited all 50 states and 5 of the 7 continents which I hope to complete by 2012 by visiting Antarctica and So...Expand for more
uth America. I then plan continuing to visit countries and places in the U. S. I have yet to experience. In 2008 I accomplished a bucket-list trip taking the Trans-Siberian railroad its entire length from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg, Russia via Manchuria, China, & Mongolia. Other bucket-list adventures accomplished: New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, whitewater rafting (my favorite sport) the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, down-hill skiing in Europe, and designing & building my own home. My favorite spectator sport is watching my son race Porsches and BMW's. I plan to travel as long as I'm able physically & financially and continue to enjoy life to its fullest. Life is great!
