Paula's Story
Wow, I can't believe that high school was so long ago, I don't feel that old. I got married 5 days after I turned 18 and moved 3000 miles away from Reno. My husband was in the military for 28 years and just retired from the Air Force in April of '07. We lived all over the US during his career, unfortunately we never went overseas as a family. We have three children 2 boys and a girl. Ages 24, 23 and 20. My oldest is about to graduate from WSU in May, he served in Iraq from '04 to '05 as a member of the Army National Guard. and going to the Community College, growing up. I was a late bloomer- I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene in 2004. I now work in private practice 3 days a week and work for EWU as a clinical instructor 2 days a week. It is my goal to get my masters in education and teach full-time within 5-7 yrs. . We are in the midst of building what I hope is our last home here in Spokane WA, on a hill with a view! Get back to Reno often, it has changed so much but I still feel my parents spirits there when I visit!
