Paula's Story
Life
It's funny that I turned out to be an Operating Room Nurse but, considering that my mother was one, I guess I came by it naturally. I graduated Nursing School in 1982 and immediately started working at St. John's Regional in Joplin, MO. I loved my job and I still miss the people I worked with. I learned a lot. At some point in time I progressed from Staff Nurse to Shift Coordinator in the OR.
I met my husband, Jim (aka JR) on America Online in 1993, and we married in 1994.
Side Note: Never tell God you don't want to get married. He thinks it's cute when you tell him how you want your life to turn out. ;)

te where JR finished out his Navy career, we now live in Dallas, TX where my DH is pursuing his doctorate at Dallas Theological Seminary.
While we were in Washington I worked at Mason General Hospital in Shelton as the Head Nurse in Surgery. I eventually got tired of the two-hour a day commute and spent my last year working at Harrison Silverdale as a staff nurse in the OR.
I now work at the Surgery Center of Plano as a Staff Nurse and I love it! Being a staff nurse (vs. management) means you don't have to take your job home! Color me happy.
I have been blessed with a wonderful, funny and beautiful stepdaughter who couldn't be more precious to me.
