Paula's Story

Who am I, what a silly question. I am the same. Slightly aged, with which wisdom comes. Time is meaningless, it is what you do with the time. Every day is a good one for me. Moved to Dayton, NV from Crete. Divorced and happy about it. Raised three kids; two sons and my daughter. They are adults now and my life is mine. I have a great blue blood Akita. That big dog goes everywhere even dancing! Training a pretty two year old Palamino Morgan now. Been here 18 years now and it a great place with a lot to do. Music is a once a week thing out and everyday at home. I was in CT many times. Last year while on Chemo. Bumped into Raymond Gene and John Kissane. Both really nice people. This is my year feel good. Like most, there have been some real bumpy times but nothing life doesn't dish out anyway. Tahoe is just up the mountain and is a great replacement for Crete where I lived before come here. No Regrets; just happy to be alive and think open and young. Ya, Pigs, it is right up there because I want to raise a couple of the smart f--kers and eat them because there is nothing like fresh pork. Hey, I have chickens and what do you think I am going to do with them when they don't lay eggs. LOL Living in the country and loving it. Even found a farm as...Expand for more
opposed to the ranch. I just hope life is a happy for all. I always want everyone to be happy. If you are not just remember everything will always be okay!!! I really want to say thank you to those of you that take the time to really say "Hello," it is nice to hear from each and everyone of you. For you guys that stop by; it would be nice to hear about what is going on with you. It seems to me that I am not sure of some people. Life was not easy when I was a kid; so I may have been there but surely not completely. I know many of you still enjoy living in the east. For me, leaving was the best thing I did for myself. I am very fortunate that I do have friends all over the U.S.; the kind that are very real that time and distance does not take away. We all touch lives in one manner or another; it is so nice when it lasts. Life has slowed down the past month after a six inch laceration to my upper forehead. Took a tremendous amout of energy. I do say, "the older you get the further away the ground is. I slipped on the ice on my back porch. Not the first head trauma I've had; but the first one that required sewing up. Healing well, but slow. Getting garden fever, starting three varieties of tomatoes this week! Hoping to put a bunch in the freezer.
