Paulette's Story
Hi ! I am Paulette DiMaggio Seales, most of my friends call me Polly. My mom called me Polly but when I heard Paulette, i was either in trouble or I had better listen.
I have been married for 41 years---I know strange aren't I? I have 2 children, Julie and Michael and I have 3 grandchildren by my daughter, Julie. They are the loves of my life, besides my wonderful husband Tom.
I was a Registered Radiologic Technologist. I graduated high school at Thompson High in Alabaster after my parents
moved there. My last year at Woodlawn, I lived with my Grandmother in East Lake. That was in 1965-66.I am still a dye hard Woodlawn fan but my 2 years at Thompson was alot of fun also but in different ways. I was truly a city girl when we moved here but now I consider myself a country gal.
My husband and I met at Carraway at a Residents and Intern party in 2000 and we married in 2001. I had finished Xray school by then, but he was still in Nsg School for another year. Tom went back on active duty army in 1983
and in 84 we went to Scarolina for 3 years and then to Mobile for 5 years. we were given compassionate reassignment

o Ohio in 1994, but we decided
that I would stay here. While in SCarolina, I volunteered at school alot, working in the Nsg Office and with the teachers.
In Mobile, I volunteered with the Coast Guard as a tech and was the Army rep for the local families that were full time Army. During Desert Storm I was the Enlisted and Full time rep for failies who had active duty family members and played liason for them. After, we return to Alabaster and my mother passed away, I weent back to work with an old frind and mentor. Dr Brackin for 8 years and then I quit for health reasons. In 1993, I was diagnosed with Crohn's Dz
and I retired from full time employment---nah part time and ate bon-bons. Kidding. In 2005, after being on Remicade
for 3 years, I developed menigitis and encephalitis and 28 other maladies. I was in ICU for 46 days and spent a month at Lakeshore in rehab. Today, the 12th of Feb is 8 years. I have alot of disabilities but God allowed me to live for some reason. I am a blessed woman. I look forward to hearing from old friends. When I was on Classmates. com years ago,
