Paulette's Story
Life
I am happily married to a mining engineer, Douglas Hambley; we have no children, three cats and one dog. We live in Wheaton IL. We both belong to the Wheaton Rotary Club. In February 07 we were on a Rotary trip to Uganda in Eastern Africa. There, we inspected the results of a Wheaton-Kabale joint Rotarian project to put cement floors in 2 school rooms in each of 8 schools in the Kabale district of Uganda. What a magnificent experience!!! Our Rotary Club is a great group of people. The Rotary motto is "Service above self." And that makes for some very interesting life experiences and making new friends all over the world.

n, IL. This is the culmination of 25 years in banking and seems to be a logical step in the evolution of my career.
My husband Doug travels a great deal. In August, 2008 we both went on a business trip to Brazil. While there, we connected with a former customer of mine in Sao Palo. What a treat! He too is a Rotarian and arranged for us to attend a Rotarian District Governors meeting where the 2008 President of Rotary International was speaking. What a trip! It felt like I'd been given a round trip ticket to the moon. In December we'll be at the company headquarters for their Christmas party. 2009 will find us moving to the Denver area.
Have just started tracking the family tree. Really finding some interesting characters. Even more interesting than the nuts I grew up with ;-)
