Peggy's Story

Life Where to start? I survived the stupidity that was my adolescence. I'm a little banged up, but I'm doing well. I was a social worker for 18 years of my life, (oh the irony of that!) I am now a school RN . Along with the usual medical stuff, I'm STILL doing social work, but with these little guys it breaks my heart. I also work per diem at a local nursing home. (I confess I adore the elderly in all their crankiness). I've been a Hospice volunteer for about 10 years. THAT is an amazing experience . To watch families come together when a loved one is dying, well, it does tend to make you more appreciative of even the smallest gifts every day. I also took the time to become a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. (I still enjoy a good sweaty workout!) I try to keep myself in halfway decent shape, but you can't out run genetics, thank...Expand for more
you mom and dad.... I've grown quite fond of hiking, and I've become a "bird nerd". My running shoes are worn out, there is no dust on my bike, my basement is cluttered with free weights, and I adore a good merlot. I swore I would never golf, but I learned, let's just say my golf game is fun to watch as long as I'm not your partner. My girls are 20 and 17. Both are involved to the gills. The oldest just finished her second year of college, and inspite of the panic at finals, she has a 4.0. The youngest is currently dancing her way across the state and drives a nicer car than I do. Growing up was tough, but I've had it easy to compared to some. I have alot to be thankful for and I know I'm blessed. I'm surrounded by incredibly warm and gifted people. I have no real reason to complain, but sometimes I still do...... Peggy
