Pegi's Story
Life
Hello all! Wow so much has changed since I first wrote my "story" on here. I'm still doing design/build work in Northern VA that specializes in custom horse barns, carriage houses and agricultural buildings. I still visit our 100+ y/o house on occasion that sits in the Shenandoah Mtns in the little burg of Front Royal. We split our time between VA, MI and FL right now.
I married my crazy man John back in 2005 who has shown me a whole new world. I've discovered I'm quite a good sailor and pilot!
We honeymooned on a remote island in Japan for two months then set out to sea on a leaky 41' catamaran. Our destination was the Philippines but once we landed in Guam....I was outa there. Imagine 800 miles across the Pacific on a very leaky boat.
Since then we have traveled to Puerto Rico, St Croix and have become heavily involved volunteering our construction savvy to missionaries in Haiti. John flies once a month missions to the Bahamas, Haiti and the DR delivering packages a...Expand for more
nd goods to missionaries living and working there. We plan to head back there this fall on a semi permanent basis to help run a health center project in the Jeremie area. This right after we close down our seaplane sightseeing operation in northern MI.
My Mom is still kicking butt at 88 and my kids are both doing quite well. Daughter KT has a successful hunter/jumper facility in Monmouth county NJ. Has two children ages 8 and 6. Pete has his own construction firm and now has two children ages 5 and 3. Adding John's two grand kids in Peru that makes me the grandmother of six! We have a an almost two year old Aussie and a geriatric border collie who travel with us. Unfortunately Bob the cat has to stay home.....traveling's not his thing.
For those of you who remember my "hitch in my gitty-up" I'm still doing fine. I refuse to let it rule my life and take advantage of everything life has to offer.
Please say hello when you have the opportunity. I'd love to hear from everyone!
