Penelope's Story

Life After Gesu Elementary and Mercy High I earned a BS in Speech Pathology and minors in Psychology and Journalism. I then spent two years at Kendall School of Design studying Art. I never could make up my mind what I wanted to do "when I grew up". In fact, I only figured that out about six years ago. After brief stints teaching speech impaired children, adult mentally impaired, teaching the GED to female jail inmates and running my own graphic design business, I then married my husband, Dirk, in 1982. but after 15 years of it I found myself yearning for a change. I opened my own photography studio in 1997 and it has been a creative dream come true. My specialty is infants and children. I also have a cardline of Christmas cards and birth and graduation announcements. You can check out my work on my website, Penelopeart.com. My husband and I were blessed with the adoption of our children (as infants), Callan, now 15 and Logan, 11. They are wonderful kids and keep us very busy. My life is full with family, friends and work... but there's always time to catch up with former classmates. I'd love to hear from some of my old friends.
