Penny's Story
Life
After graduating from UBC in '74 I began teaching elementary school in Port Alberni. I married my husband, John, in December '74. Our daughter, Jen, was born in June '82. We still live and work in Port Alberni, but we have a retirement condo in Victoria where our daughter currently lives with her fiance, Eric. They plan to marry August '08. I plan to retire from teaching in June 2008.
Over the years we've travelled a lot, primarily in Britain...Expand for more
and Europe, but recently I've caught the gambling bug and I travel frequently to Reno, NV.
I love cats and have owned several over the years. Currently we have three cats that were adopted from the SPCA.
Some of my hobbies are reading, movies, computers, walking, and most recently, scrapbooking. I also try to stay fit by going to water aerobics and Curves.
I'm a cancer survivor, being in remission from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma for 18 months now.
