Pete's Story
Only 1 yr at Franconia College but it was very cool. Wish I could have stayed longer, family didn't have the money. Had some great professors though, Peter Linebaugh (Marxism) and Gene Mason (jail/prisons), Brad Whipple (sociology). Can't remember poetry professor I studied William Blake with but I really enjoyed him and his class.
Living at the International first semester was a be-otch trying to get to 8:30 or 9:00a psychology class on the mountain without a car (gave up my first new car I purchased 6 months before going to Franconia so i could...Expand for more
afford it).
Loved living at the Xanadu second semester, great room at end of hall opposite end from the snack bar.
Remember giving drum lessons to some students, one particular gorgeous female blond that I wish I had pursued. But trying to be respectful of the females I didn't pursue her..too many lost opportunities.
Had great time playing drums for Bye Bye Birdie, Ron Bennett's production at the Dow with Frank Mullen on piano. Check out my 'then' picture above of end of semester performance on top of portico looking out over Cannon Mountain.
