Peter's Story
After graduating from Penn, I moved back to Cleveland and CWRU Med School. Despite my Cleveland loyalties, I moved to Pittsburgh for four years to train in child, adolescent, adult and public health psychiatry. I now love both towns. In Pittsburgh, I met Sue, my talented, smart and energetic wife and helped raised her two daughters and our son. We then moved to Rockville MD, where my first job was helping develop an inpatient program for drug addicted teens. Since then I've spent more than half my career working for my county or my state as a medical director trying to improve the care for people who are down and out. I am now retired. We are now blessed with 5 grandchildren. And I'm lucky having survived cancer and a heart valve repair.

0-30 year olds I never raised), gardening, writing, traveling, sailing, playing guitar and volunteer work and keeping an eye on our five grandkids
The reunion was a success, thanks to Mike and Suzie Holder. It was sad paying tribute to our departed classmates and missing the opportunity to see some people whom we had admired who helped pull us through those wild formative years we call adolescence. It also moving to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives and health serving our country during the Vietnam War-in retrospect it’s striking to realize that we were a wartime generation. The good news is that we kids survived, grew up despite adversity and challenges, are leading honorable lives, and leaving a legacy. And that it's not how much we have in common but that our diversity could still be bound together by an underlying respect and civility.
