Peter's Story
Life
Married 44 years,.3 children, five grandchildren. Children all grown...oldest is a senior project manager and engineer working Navy classified programs, middle is a Nurse Practioneer and research scientist at National Institute of Health in Cancer research, youngest is a State Forester and fire fighter in West Virginia. Five grandchildren...my job to spoil. Strong faith, great family, many friends, good luck...life is good, makes one humble. Working on crisis team looking at water reallocation in southwest US and on challenges in the national electric grid.
Working in the innovation community trying to figure how to use artificial intelligence as an idea accelerator. Trying to make a difference even as I slow down. Post Polio Syndrome slowly taking my legs away. Can't complain, had polio in 1949. Trying hard to keep mobility. Getting harder every year.
Retired from Science Applications International in July 2005. Time now to give back. Focusing on building better social safety net for our elderly population and those less fortunate than most of us.

30 years wearing Air Force blue. Strategic Nuclear Missile duty, Intelligence Officer in Viet Nam. Moved 12 times. Spent last part of career in Washington as Senior Political Military Affairs Officer.. Mostly in international negotiations, national security policy making, and nuclear arms control. Variety of senior positions inside beltway, Pentagon, Air Staff, National Security Agency and Office of the Secretary of Defense.. Retired as a Colonel and Director of International Negotiations and Arms Control, Air Staff, Pentagon. Go Blue, go high!
