Peter's Story
After CHS, I went to OSU from 1986 to 1991 where I got a degree in Civil Engineering. Found a job at ODOT later that year. Got my PE license in 2002 when I got my current team lead job. I started in my current work unit in 1996 - Transportation Planning Analysis Unit -where I do preliminary engineering and environmental document work on highway projects. I decide how these projects end up looking like - how many lanes, signals, ramps etc - based on my analysis. Most of these take a long time - the Beltlin...Expand for more
e Hwy interchange flyover that was just done was one of my big ones (worked on it from 1997 to 2000).
I got married to my wife Sandi and her two kids (both now in their 20's)in 1998. I became a grandparent at age 32 - now 3x over. Went from a dog family when I was growing up to an avid cat person (would never have seen that happening). I currently live in Salem.
The last 20+ years have been pretty good - home, friends & family, hobbies, and frequent Las Vegas trips (nothing like a hot craps table run!!).
