Phillip's Story
Ok, here goes:
1967, graduated, worked at Ford Wixom plant. ( yuck )
Fall of 67, left Ford Wixom plant
( yay ) and started at Henry Ford Community College.
While at HFCC I Co-Oped / Interned at Detroit Edison.
About 1970 got my Associates in Science in Electricity / Electronics, and ended up working for Western Union on Communications Systems and Equipment.
In 1972 I started with Ford Motor
( again, but better job than "the line" ) and ended up as a Systems Analyst there, and left in 2007 with one of their Golden Boot Retirements/ Buy-Outs.
( Spoke to my last Super since, and she says I left at best time, since now leaving that way is not as nice,
if nice at all. Whew. )
Now that you're like totally bored with this, I'll finish it up.
I worked as a contractor at Flagstar Bank in Troy on the same kind of software I was working on at Ford.
That was only for a few months in 2008.
I enjoyed my computer work at Ford
( weird ) so I'm still looking for Computer related ...Expand for more
work, and doing some web sites for some people as promo work. Maybe I'll get a real customer.
Update ( Jan 2012 ) I'm now working for Toyota as a contractor through Corbus Staffing out of Dayton, OH.
I'm at the Toyota Tech Center in Saline, MI area. Been there since May of 2011. Getting the job was a little bit
of a surprise, but it's doing the same computer software ( BMC Remedy ) that I was working on at Ford, and
I really enjoy the work.
I have 3 kids from my second marriage which started in 1983, and is still hanging in there. I have 3 grand kids.
Update, I have 4 grand kids.
Life since 1967 has been, let's say "interesting", to say the least.
Update, life got even more "interesting".
Did I say I was finishing this up?
Oops.
Ok, enough said for now.
If you actually read all this, thanks for your interest, and you are a true friend.
Maybe I'll be hearing from someone or other, sometime or other.
If not, have a great time with your life and stuff.
Later,
Phil
