Phillip George's Story

If you take the time to read my bio, then please send me an email message to rylos2002 at aim dot com. I would like to hear from you and I would like to stay in touch, thank you. ******************************************** After high school I joined the army as I did not have a clue as to what I wanted to do or what direction I should go in. I was stationed at Fort Ord, CA and was a member of Charlie Company 3rd/32nd. Upon arriving at Fort Ord I was first a member of the 7th infantry Division Band and was the Main Post Bugler for a year. I also served on burial details for fallen veterans in the greater area. I was in the army for six years and after getting out of the service I went to College on Uncle Sam. Thank God for the old GI Bill of the 70's as I qualified as a Vietnam Era Veteran. I graduated college 1982. After Bible college, I graduated from ABI in St. Paul MN, I tried living in Florida for a year but that didn't work out as the pay scale was very low so moved back north to Massachusetts. Eventually I moved to New Hampshire as I found a job in Nashua, NH and lived there for 12 years. I worked in shipping and receiving until May of 1988. In June of '88 I went to Vermont College and studied to be a Drivers Ed Teacher. I successfully completed the 14 week course and took the NH Dept of Safety test of which I scored 96 out 100 questions which more than qualified the requirement of 90 passing. I had the third highest score in the state! For six years I taught Drivers Ed. It was a very good experience for me as I taught over 5500 students, adults and teens, some special needs students like hearin...Expand for more
g impaired, spina bifida, some had prosthetic limbs. As it turned out some of my driving hours turned out to be more than just driver ed. It turned out to be a teen ministry as some of the questions the teenagers asked were beyond belief. I had a great time teaching but I was burnt out from being in the car most of the 6 years. If I had more classroom time I would have stayed teaching drivers ed. April of '94 I started my professional career in sales of computer software and then in '99 I went into customer service for a computer repair company. You probably heard of them Dell computers! Now 15 years later I am currently unemployed for the past two years, 2007-2009 and it has been tough for me. I might be loosing my home if things don't change... Some sad news I am divorced now after 4 years of marriage and unfortunately for me I became a statistic. And now for some more sad news. My mother died March 23rd, 2008 on Easter Sunday. She was born on Easter Sunday and died on Easter Sunday. She was married for 64 years to my dad and she was 84 years old. Life goes on. I have a daughter named Sierra Lynn Petros, born May 10, 1997. I see her every other weekend and she lives in New Hampshire with her mother. Send a message here on Classmates. Com with your email address please and we'll stay in touch that way. I will answer all who sends me a message. To all my friends at Lowell High School, the Apostolic Bible Institute, 7th Infantry Division Band, and Charlie Company 3rd/32nd, Fort Ord, CA: I hope things are going well for you, all of you are in my thoughts and Prayers. Take care and God Bless.
