Phyllis's Story
Life
I graduated from Evans in 1972. I attended the University of Florida and received 2 degrees from there. I graduated from the UF Physician Assistant Program in 1980. I also attended the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill where I got a Master's in Public Health in Maternal & Child Health. I have mainly worked as a Physician Assistant in Women's Health over the past 20 years. The past 11 years have been spent in P.A. education. Since graduating from Evans, I have lived in North Carolina, Alaska, South Dakota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Montana, and now Oregon. Over the years I have enjoyed doing such pasttimes such as: canoeing, sea kayaking, backpacking, hiking, camping, fishing, gardening, cooking, reading, computers, creating web pages, fencing, basketweaving (I have sold many baskets I made as well as taught basketweaving classes), and quilting. I especially enjoy creating unique one of a kind baskets made from a variety of natural materials with different textures and colors such a seagrass, grapevine, gourds, horsehair, pine needles, driftwood, hand-woven yarn, etc.
